The loss concerns the supply of major structural assemblies for a commercial aircraft program which were found with non-conformities during a final assembly line inspection. Indeed, some machining data prepared to manufacture these assemblies were not compliant with the design specifications.
We are involved at the manufacturing chain level which consists of 3 sub-contracting stages.
The aim of our involvement is to identify the causes of the loss and to determine the responsibilities of each party in the manufacturing chain.
Besides each sub-contractor responsibility, it is also necessary to analyse each sub-contracting agreement and to determine the costs.
As of today, the file is engaged in a friendly resolution process. Crossed discussions between all parties and their surveyors are necessary in order to limit the recovery and indirect costs.
